"The Instructors are dedicated to honoring the higher power that gave them the gift of the muse of dance and music. It is not important too us too win praise from other dancers, or Familys,. or win trophies at some contest, as long as we are true to our art and culture, we have pleased what matters too us. We pride ourselves in knowledge of all traditional songs etc., of each Family and culture that makes up the middle east.. We put shows together using the favorites of the people we are sharing our gift with, as well as acknowledging modern artists who stay in the guidelines of an ancient spirituality."

Zamora's Gypsy, a Family of 60 + male and female
performers. Several performers have individual solos, focusing on their
own specialized talents. Shows are are comprised of several veil ties,
sword cane, and tray dancers that switch their contents around. Included
are sage burner, kaffee service, tea service, candles and fruit. 90% of
Zamora's Family members drum and all play a percussion instrument. And , of
course free style belly dancing is performed by all the dancers. Other
specialties include fire, 9/8 and whips. |
