About Michael

I have been a musician for the past 20 years. Music has always been a great and important part of my life. I started by playing in grade school band. I had a lust for music from a very young age, a theorist for new and different sounds. My taste in music ranges from Classical to Jazz , Jazz to Rock, and music of the world and the world of music, BUT NO COUNTRY!!!. Yuk.

I am a bassist Rock, Funk and Jazz. I am also a classically trained trumpeter for both jazz and classical music. I play French Horn, and I'm interested in learning many other instruments during the rest of my life. I've been playing Dumbek (Middle Eastern Drum) on and off for the past 4 years, but only within the last year I started to learn middle eastern rhythms and styles. In the fall of 1999 I became a member of the troupe and guild. I now teach a few drum students each week. Eventually, I hope to begin to learn how to play more Latin percussion.
Music is the power that rules my fate. It makes me detached and at ease so that I will dart past the Eagle to be free.
