Bellydancing Lesson # 2 Standing Moves
This
is the second lesson in a systematic series of bellydance instructional
programs. Master Teacher and Dancer, Cory Zamora, teaches you: The Hip
circle, The Figure 8, The Basic Shimmy, Basic Arabic which is your first
traveling move, Weight Changes, the Basic Camel, and related movements. She
shows you how and where to place your feet as you prepare to undertake the
technical movements.
Her style of bellydance is called "freestyle Arabic." Her philosophy is that
she was not the same person yesterday as she is today, and not the same
person she will be tomorrow. Thus, she does not like choreographed dancing.
Each time she dances it is special and different from every other time she
dances. She teaches you as though you are there in her class, classes she
taught for 30 years. Symbols are used but if your style of dance does not
use symbols, come along anyway.
This is not a show biz tape. It is a technical tape, the real thing, not an
aerobicized version of bellydance that you see promoted. Come on in the
class, enjoy learning professional Freestyle Arabic Bellydancing. 50
minutes. filmed on digital. Music is by the fabulous Brothers of the Baladi,
who are located in Oregon.
